About the book
A window to Spanish and American colonial times, told through photography. The trove of images belonged to a Dutch national who came to the Philippines as a young entrepreneur, settled and started a family, and later became honorary consul of the Netherlands.
Design notes
To keep the photography book affordable, one-color printing was used throughout. Whenever possible, I chose to reproduce photos without cropping, showing the uneven, torn, and/or creased edges. This gives the reader the feeling of browsing through a family album containing the actual artifacts.
